Barry Lyndon is simply one of the most beautiful films ever made. Every frame is like a painting from the time the story takes place. In fact, many compositions in the film were based on paintings from the time the story took place. I dare say, time will only prove to increase people’s appreciation of this masterwork by the singular, uncompromising genius, Stanley Kubrick.
